It’s hard to believe, but it’s almost time to break out your red, white, and blue decor to celebrate the 4th of July once again. At Champion Chevrolet Buick GMC, we love a good Independence Day celebration, so we wanted to share some of our favorite holiday events in the Louisville area to enhance your festivities.
Riverview Independence Festival
A summertime staple in Louisville, the Riverview Independence Festival, on June 30, will feature tons of fun for visitors of all ages. Country music performances by Cale Dodds, Bailey James, and Justin Paul Lewis will provide a dynamic backdrop. Children can participate in age-appropriate activities like rock wall climbing, watching a puppet show, and performing science experiments. Make sure to stick around for the firework display, which is scheduled for 10 p.m.
Crescent Hill Art Music Festival
The Peterson Dumesnil House in the Crescent Hill section of downtown Louisville will host a regional fine arts festival on July 3-4. Live music performances will provide a festive backdrop, while you browse local artists’ wares and sample yummy food from vendors. Children’s activities will keep the young ones occupied. The night’s events conclude on July 4, with a fireworks display.
Belle of Louisville: Fireworks Cruise
For a truly unique view of the fireworks, check one of Louisville’s riverboat cruises. Boats leave the dock at 8:30 so you can take in the firework display from the water. You’ll return to the dock around 10:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended, as this event tends to sell out fast.
