Whether you’re looking for a workhorse or a luxurious show pony, the Silverado EV Truck and Hummer EV Truck have what you want in a pickup. However, these two capable trucks have many differences. Here’s how they compare.
Power Output
The entry-level Silverado EV WT offers a whopping 510 horsepower, while its RST trim tops out at 664 horsepower. On the other hand, the Hummer EV truck boasts three engines that work together to deliver 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque.
Towing Capability
The Silverado has a maximum towing capacity of 8,000-10,000 pounds depending on the trim level. While the Hummer EV Truck produces more horsepower and torque, its towing capacity maxes out at 7,500 pounds.
Range
The Silverado EV offers up to 400 miles of range on a single charge, whereas the Hummer EV Truck delivers over 250 miles of range, according to manufacturer estimates. [1] [2]
Technology
The Hummer EV Truck comes with some unique tech tools that the Silverado EV doesn’t, including an exclusive infotainment system with custom graphics rendered in Unreal Engine.
Styling and Exterior
The Silverado EV sports classic pickup truck styling alongside practical touches, such as a streamlined front end that’s designed to minimize drag. The Hummer EV Truck boasts a bold, blocky look that’s more reminiscent of the signature Hummer style.
Pricing
While both the Silverado EV and the Hummer EV Truck haven’t hit the market yet, the Silverado EV is currently projected to have a lower starting MSRP than the Hummer will. The entry-level Silverado EV will run almost half the price of the Hummer — approximately $40,000 less.
